his video “Best Trading Strategy For Beginners – Scalping Strategy” (1.83M views), 7 Jun 2026 · 14:33 (Hinglish, translated). He wrote “1:10” on screen.

the investigation

His “two-line” strategy, from his most-watched video (1.83M views). He told viewers to backtest it for two days. We tested every minute of gold from 2015 to September 2026, his rules written down before the test, with the spread from his own screen. Then we checked his 15 public lives, trade by trade.

What happened when we tested it? ↓
01 / your expectation

What would you expect?

If the rules do what he says, how many trades should win?

02 / what actually happened

The claim met the data.

“Accuracy at 1:10”, read generously: the trade moved ten times its risk in his favour before the stop was hit (same day), checked on every minute. 5,041 trades; 19.7% closed with any profit at all. Costs: the 0.28 spread on his own screen plus slippage.

The rules, costs and assumptions in plain words

His rules, from “Best Trading Strategy For Beginners – Scalping Strategy” (7 Jun 2026, 1.83M views): mark yesterday’s high and low on the daily chart; switch to 1-minute; no trade while price is between the lines; once a line is crossed, the next candle that breaks a fresh red (or green) candle beyond it is the entry, stop beyond that candle; 80% out at the last swing, 20% left for bigger targets; at most 3 trades a day, none after 2 full stop-losses; skip stops over 70 pips. Every rule with his words and the second he says it: METHOD.md.

His claim, read generously: “accuracy at 1:10” = the trade’s best move reached 10× its stop distance before the stop was hit, the same day. Exact rules: 4.4% (95% interval 3.9–5.0%) of 5,041 trades. Taking his 1:10 literally (whole position to a 10R target): 7.8% won.

Costs: the 0.28 spread shown on his own screen plus $0.05 slippage on stop fills, no commission: generous to him. The median stop is 9.6 pips, so a 3.8-pip round trip is 39.6% of a typical stop. With zero costs: 9.1% reached 1:10, +0.07R a trade.

Every year 2015–2026 lost money after costs. After he recorded the video (22 May – 30 Sep 2026, data he could not have seen): 169 trades, 4.1% reached 1:10, -0.18R a trade.

His three demo days in the video (19–21 May 2026): the exact rules made +12.6R. Only 0.26% of the 3,031 three-day stretches since 2015 were as good or better; 18.7% made any profit at all.

His premise, “once yesterday’s line is taken, the market reverses”, measured directly: after the first trade beyond the line, price went the same distance further before returning to the previous day’s midpoint more often than not (gold 52.7% vs 47.3%; NIFTY, BANK NIFTY, BTC and ETH the same way).

The disputed rule (Trading With Sidhant’s reading vs a commenter’s) does not change the answer: 4.4% and 5.0% reached 1:10. A second data source (HistData) gives the same result; five random trades were recomputed by hand to the cent.

Same rules on other markets (he says use them only after your own backtest): every one lost after costs. His 2023 swing setup (“80–90% accuracy”): 45.7% reached +3% before the stop; 0 of 11 years at 80%.

His accuracy claims on the same streams: 14 Sep, “dono mere Telegram ka accuracy more than 50% hai with 1:10” (both my Telegrams: more than 50% at 1:10; 1:12:33); 17 Sep, “the group’s accuracy is more than 60–70%, with 1:10” (37:19); 25 Sep, “mine is 30–40%” (1:01:14).

Group trades he talked about are not in the table: we don’t join paid groups. Across the 15 streams he mentioned group results 120 times: 69 wins, 23 losses, 7 mixed, 21 unclear. Five group trades had levels on screen and could be price-checked: 1 reached 1:10, 4 did not.

His own account (fair note): balances and fills on his Elefin / Exness screens add up to about +$18.6k over the 12 streams where a result was shown, the biggest single result +$6,970 on 8 Oct. Deposits, withdrawals and off-stream trades are not visible.

His official channel, t.me/stocklearners, linked as “Official Channels” under his streams. Telegram can’t be read from our network, so we used the Internet Archive’s copies: 644 posts from 1 Jan to 16 May 2026 (93% of the post numbers in that range), plus 5 from August.

62 of the 85 measure the result as “touch”, “running” or “still going on”: the furthest point price reached while the trade was still open, not a booked exit. Quoted risk-rewards: median 1:27; 48 of 51 at 1:10 or more; the highest 1:327 (#2159, 8 Feb 2026).

Where stop-losses come up, it is in general terms, e.g. #2293 (10 Mar 2026): “Patience for Getting Right Entery / SL are the Part of Process 🙂 / Mentor is Always Right”.

Fair: the moves themselves are real. 15 Apr, “780 PIP DONE”: gold fell 4869.9 → 4785.9 that morning; 12 May, “1 THOUSAND PIP DONE”: 4772.7 → 4669.3 (Dukascopy). We found no sign that a posted move did not happen. Whether a level was posted before its move can’t be checked: the level charts survive only as 320-pixel thumbnails. 49 posts carry Telegram’s “edited” mark; we see the edited text.

On his streams he is more open: of 120 group results he mentioned, 23 were losses. One example, 28 Sep: a premium-group trade later posted as “330 PIPS DONE” had its posted stop (4117.109) hit at 15:47:12 UTC, 24 seconds after the fill and before the rally, in Dukascopy prices at every feed offset we tried; a later screenshot shows a wider stop box.

122 lives linked. None public today.

In November 2025 he told viewers to check his lives, and promised a Google Drive link if one was ever deleted. On 10 Oct 2026 we checked every YouTube live linked in the archived posts of his Telegram channel (1 Jan – 18 Aug 2026).

“Go and watch the live. And if I ever delete the live, I’ll put its Google Drive link in the video’s description.”

The live he showed as proof in that same video, “Crypto Gold Live Trading 17 oct” (youtube.com/watch?v=OYYNXklQ1-4): “This video is unavailable” on 10 Oct 2026. The description of his 9 Nov 2025 video, fetched the same day, has no Google Drive link.

Why these lives are private or unavailable is not visible, and we don’t guess. The one reason he gave himself, on 23 Sep 2026 about the previous day’s live: “I watched yesterday’s live, it was very bad… I chased the market two-three times… I felt it was better not to keep it for you, so I dropped it.” (5:15, Hinglish, translated)

His website stocklearners.in as archived on 29 Dec 2024: “Spot High ROI Trades — My Proven Process that Profited 1000+ Traders”, “You too can become a millionaire if you have faith in yourself.” and “You can’t double your money but there will be trades when you can. Today the page’s disclaimer says “We do not guarantee any specific outcomes or financial success”, just above the button “YES! I WANT TO WIN HIGH ROI TRADES” (a ₹9 Zoom webinar). SEBI’s 2024 rule: for SEBI to decide

SEBI (Intermediaries) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024, Regulation 16A: “No person regulated by the Board or the agent of such a person shall have any direct or indirect association, with another person who- (i) provides advice or any recommendation, directly or indirectly, in respect of or related to a security or securities, unless the person is registered with or otherwise permitted by the Board …; or (ii) makes any claim, of returns or performance expressly or impliedly, in respect of or related to a security or securities, unless the person has been permitted by the Board to make such a claim”. “Association” includes “referral of a client”; a person “engaged in investor education” is excluded if he does neither. His descriptions since then say “We/I are not SEBI ( Securities and Exchange Board of India ) Registered” (2025) and “WE ARE NOT SEBI REGISTERED ADVISOR” (2026), next to account links for SEBI-registered brokers: Fyers (until Oct 2025), blinkX (“BlinkX pe karo Unlimited Trading”, 4 Mar 2025) and Lemonn referral codes (2026; Lemonn is SEBI stock broker INZ000304837). The rule binds the SEBI-registered firm. Whether it applies to any of these links is for SEBI to decide; we make no finding.

What this is: our backtest of the "two-line" strategy Gautam Jha ("Stock Learners") teaches in "Best Trading Strategy For
Beginners - Scalping Strategy" (7 Jun 2026) - previous day's high and low, 1-minute candles - on every minute of gold (XAUUSD)
from Jan 2015 to Sep 2026 with the spread shown on his own screen, plus NIFTY, BANK NIFTY, BTC and ETH and his 2023 swing
setup; and his public record: his 15 public livestreams (14 Sep - 8 Oct 2026) trade by trade, the archived posts of his
official Telegram channel, and the status of the 122 lives that channel linked. 36 readings with every trade.
Our test, our method, our opinion. Not financial advice.
Files
trades/*.csv every trade of every published reading. R = result in units of risk after costs; mfe_R = the best
move in his favour before the exit (mfe_R >= 10 = "reached 1:10 before the stop"); tg1 = first target
(the last swing, 80% exits there); tg2 = the runner's target; pdh/pdl = the previous day's high/low.
Times: gold = New York (the 17:00-17:00 trading day), NIFTY/BANK NIFTY = IST, BTC/ETH = UTC.
Swing CSV: target = the previous high (the second half's exit; the first half exits at +3%).
results_*.json every number for every reading, incl. the GENEROUS readings (35k-112k trades; CSVs too big for
this page) and the zero-cost / real-spread / slippage x2 runs, with yearly results and stop-size
quartiles
premises.json his premise ("liquidity taken -> reversal") measured directly on all five markets
crosscheck_XAUUSD.json the same rules on a second data source (HistData) - same conclusion
demo_days.json, demo_rank.json what the rules did on his three demo days (19-21 May 2026) and how rare that was
swing_results*.json his 2023 daily swing setup on Nifty 100 stocks (+ a Yahoo cross-check)
rules.json the exact rules and costs, every rule with his words and the second he says it
prereg/ the rules as written before each run (dated snapshots)
METHOD.md his rules with verbatim quotes + timestamps, every ambiguity, what was not codeable, all results
code/ the Python used (gautam_backtest.py runs everything; fx_data.py builds the gold data)
his_public_record/ calls.csv: every trade he took or gave on his 15 public lives (+ levels and group trades he
mentioned), with his words, the price check and our class; telegram_posts.csv: 644 archived posts of
t.me/stocklearners; telegram_outcomes.csv: the 85 posts that report a result; old_lives_status.csv:
the YouTube links in those posts and their status on 10 Oct 2026. Phone numbers are removed.
